iPad 2022: cheerful colors and a new design
The iPad 2022 is the entry-level iPad of the year. Apple has tinkered a lot with the design this year. The tablet is available in four cool colors and the edges are flatter than with the previous model. All in all, the design is a lot more modern. That’s also because the home button has disappeared. But do not worry; Touch ID is still there. The fingerprint sensor is now incorporated into the power button, just like on the iPad Air and iPad mini.
Another major innovation is the placement of the selfie camera. You won’t find this at the top of the screen like all other iPads (at least, in portrait ratio), but it is placed on the long side. This is extremely useful if you use the iPad 2022 with a keyboard as a lightweight laptop and want to make video calls. In landscape mode, the camera is then centered above the screen. Moreover, the processor of this iPad is a lot better than that of its predecessor (A14 Bionic). The screen is slightly larger and the iPad 2022, just like its big brothers, has finally received a USB-C connection.
