You can read this in AutoWeek 7

AutoWeek 7 will be in stores from Wednesday or will fall on your doormat this week. This week you can expect a double test between two quite different EVs, but also a first driving test with the Dacia Jogger, a report about someone with a Chevrolet HHR and a Klokje Rond with an (almost) millionaire.

As you can see in the photo above, this week we put the BMW i4 and Tesla Model 3 side by side. A promising newcomer against a proven success number. The Tesla Model 3 has been an attack on the BMW 3-series from the start. With the i4, BMW finally has a direct electric competitor.

Higher in the ranking is the facelifted Audi A8 that we have been on the road with. The facelift that Audi is carrying out with the A8 is mainly cosmetic. With the plug-in hybrid 60 TFSIe version, however, the technology does change and that is sufficient reason for a renewed acquaintance.

Of course we also pay attention to more modest new stuff. How about a driving test with the facelifted Mazda CX-5 for example? It has been held up to the light both inside and out. The nose has been brushed over with the touch-up brush and a lot of time has been invested in further refining the undercarriage. Is that enough to take on the stiff competition in the hard-fought SUV segment? It is up to Cornelis Kit to answer that.

For the somewhat smaller fair, there is good news from Dacia, now that the Jogger is on the market. A very interesting car on paper for a very reasonable price. The Dacia Jogger has a lot to offer to become a runner. And not just because of the low price.

On occasion level, the mix is nicely varied this week. For example, we pay attention to a Chevrolet HHR. You might remember him, that retro MPV to which Chevrolet hung a kind of PT Cruiser-like story in the Netherlands. Many have not been sold and that is why it is so nice to find someone who still has one. In addition, the owner is really devoted to it.

On the dynamometer this week we have a car that bears the Cupra label, but still from way before the era when Cupra became a separate brand. A real Ibiza Cupra Bocanegra. It has the 1.4 TSI in the nose and it is not exactly known as reliable. We are therefore curious whether all horses are still under the hood.

Yes, it’s that time again: we have a car in Klokje Rond that is close to a million! And what kind of one: a Mercedes-Benz C220d Sport Coupé. You don’t see them often anymore and that’s why it’s extra nice that we can now welcome one that has been able to hold its own for so long. If it turns out that this also includes a 26-year-old owner, you understand that we have a lot of questions.
