Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, isn’t too impressed with the new iPhone 13 series. He finds Apple’s new phones virtually indistinguishable from the iPhone 12.
‘No difference iPhone 12 and iPhone 13’
“I have the new iPhone and I can’t tell the difference,” Wozniak said in an interview with Yahoo News. It is not clear whether he owns the iPhone 13 (mini) or the more expensive iPhone 13 Pro (Max). He also said he doesn’t see the difference between the new Apple Watch Series 7 and the previous version.
“I’m also concerned about size,” continues Wozniak, who left Apple in 1985. ‘But I’m not too concerned with it. I’m just interested in whether the products are good.’ The co-founder is more often critical of the company. In 2017, Wozniak said he didn’t want to buy the new iPhone X because he had doubts about the facial recognition software.
After Apple CEO Tim Cook sent him the iPhone X, Wozniak criticized the phone for its lack of intuitiveness. He said earlier Apple products were easier to use, such as the Lisa computer. Incidentally, Wozniak is not only negative about Apple. In 2019, he said the Apple Watch was his “favorite piece of technology in the world” thanks to its ability to reduce smartphone use.
Differences iPhone 13 and iPhone 12
As far as we’re concerned, Wozniak does have a point. Certainly with the standard models – the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini – the differences with their predecessor are very small. The camera lenses are slightly better and the devices have a better battery life, but that’s about it.
Greater is the difference between the iPhone 13 Pro (Max) and iPhone 12 Pro (Max). The new Pro devices have a new ProMotion screen, which refreshes the images up to 120 times per second. This makes everything look much smoother. The camera has also been significantly improved, making macro photography possible for the first time, for example.
