Anyone who no longer uses their Google account or Gmail address can cancel the service. All data and emails will then disappear.
To delete an account or not?
Do you not use the Gmail address (anymore) or do you want to have less to do with Google? You can delete the account. This will make all your data disappear from Google. Think of emails, but also calendar items (if you used the Google Calendar) or photos in Google Photos. Using an Android phone is also difficult without a Google account. So first consider carefully whether you really want this.

Remove a Google account like this:
- Open the site accounts.google.com.
- Log in if necessary.
- Click on the left Data and Personalization.
- Under ‘Download, delete or plan your data’, click Delete a service or your account.
- At the top right it says ‘Delete your Google account’. Click below Delete your account.
- Enter your password.
- click on Next one.
- Check the options Yes, I acknowledge that I will still be responsible for any fees generated for any outstanding financial transactions and I understand that my earnings will not be paid out under certain circumstances and Yes, I want to permanently delete this Google account and all associated data.
- click on Remove Account.
The account has been deleted. Immediately regret? Restore the account immediately via the link in the picture. This is only possible for a short time.
