Lamborghini celebrates 60th anniversary with colorful world record

Lamborghini can blow out sixty candles this year. It does so with a series of events around the world, starting in Japan. Last week, more than 280 Lamborghinis, from the oldest to the newest, gathered at the Suzuka circuit. 251 of them drove around the circuit at the same time, which means that the Italians can write a new world record to their name: the longest parade of Lamborghinis ever. The scene resulted in countless colorful pictures.

The event at the Japanese circuit saw the boosted Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato make its Japanese debut and featured the TimeChaser_111100, a one-off based on the Huracán STO designed by a Japanese artist. Around the event, the brand organized several tours in the country, including one with more than fifty Lamborghinis through the old city districts of Kyoto.

All the models Lamborghini ever produced were present, including some restored by the Polo Storico branch of the brand. It takes care of the survival of older Lamborghinis, as the heritage departments of other car brands are increasingly doing.

Lamborghini museum opened in a new form

Lamborghini will descend on several continents in 2023 to celebrate its 60th birthday. What exactly the program looks like is unknown. For those who want to get something of it anyway: the brand recently opened its renovated museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese, in which attention is paid to the anniversary through an exhibition.
