Apple has released another new test version for iOS 17! As of today, iOS 17.2 beta 3 can be installed on your iPhone. This is new in the update!

New test version for iOS 17.2

A new test version is available for iOS 17.2. This is now the third test version, which is intended for developers. The public test version will probably be released later this week. With iOS 17.2 beta 3, mainly small new features come to your iPhone. We previously saw the biggest changes in iOS 17.2 beta 1, which finally released the Diary app.

In previous test versions it became clear that the Messages app and the action button of the iPhone will get new functions with iOS 17.2. In addition, a completely new camera function is coming to your iPhone, but you won’t be able to use it fully for a while. With iOS 17.2 beta 3, Apple Music is expanded and certain settings have been slightly adjusted. We will tell you more.

This is new in iOS 17.2 beta 3

In the new trial version of iOS 17.2, your favorite songs in Apple Music are automatically added to your library. Do not you want that? You can also disable the function in the settings of your iPhone. That is not the only thing that Apple has adjusted in the settings, because changes have also been made to the keyboard. Starting from iOS 17.2, you can disable your iPhone from predicting what you are going to type.

Another change to the settings of your iPhone: you will soon be able to choose with whom you share your name and photo on your contact poster. In iOS 17.2 you have the option to hide this data, share it only with your contacts or determine it per contact. This was already possible with Messages, but is now being extended to Phone and FaceTime.

Apple has also made a small adjustment to FaceTime. Starting in iOS 17.2, you will receive a notification if you want to join your conversation in which a contact you have blocked is participating. This way you will no longer be faced with unpleasant surprises when you open a conversation in FaceTime.

Next iOS update will be released in December

In iOS 17.2 beta 3, Photos also gets a nice feature, because Apple Music adds appropriate music to your memories. To do this, you must give Photos permissions for Apple Music (and have a subscription to Apple’s music service). The automatic slideshows and reminders that are created from your photo library will then have appropriate songs in the background.
