Lamborghini has an upgraded Urus in the development rooms. That sharpened Urus, which may, just like the facelifted Huracán, get the addition ‘Evo’ after its model name, can be seen in action in spy photos at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
Lamborghini hit the bullseye with the Urus. Despite the difficult car year, the Italians sold no fewer than 4,391 copies in 2020, accounting for a share of almost sixty percent of annual sales. The super-SUV is now four years old, which means that the time is right for a facelift. These photos show the renewed Urus in a wrapped test costume at the Nürburgring.
Given the success of the Urus, Lamborghini is keen to keep the model in the spotlight. The facelift that the brand is implementing does not seem to be too drastic optically. Lamborghini seems to adjust the bumper work slightly, complete with a modified grille that gets an extra louvre in its target. It seems that the layout of the light units is also being revised, although here too things will not be earth-shatteringly different. You can also count on some technical refinements.
The Urus has a 650 hp 4.0 V8 with two turbos as the power plant, an 850 Nm strong machine that blows the 2.2 tonne Urus to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds. Its top speed is an impressive 305 km / h.
The Urus is also doing relatively well in the Netherlands. Since the model appeared on the Dutch market in 2018, 78 copies have been sold. This makes it by far the best-selling Lamborghini ever in the Netherlands. The Huracán follows in second place with 43 units. Last year Lamborghini sold 24 copies of the Urus in our country.
