With folding hard top

Electric convertibles are not exactly up for grabs. Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis shows with this X Convertible how it would design an electric convertible if it added it to its portfolio. Unfortunately, the question remains unanswered whether that will actually happen.
In a relatively short time, Genesis has presented three study models, of which this X Convertible is the last. The open electric study model concludes a conceptual triptych that also includes the X Concept and the X Speedium Coupé Concept. As its name implies, this new Genesis X Convertible is the most open of the bunch.
The X Convertible is actually the open version of the X Concept. The design of the show car attracts attention with its large triangular, closed section on the front, but perhaps even more striking is the roof construction. Genesis does not give the X Convertible a fabric roof, but a folding hardtop. The hardtop itself is equipped with glass panels, so even with the roof closed you can view the starry sky in the evening. Like the X Concept and X Speedium Concept, the front and rear lighting is interesting. At the front, LED strips follow the contours of the closed ‘grille’ and then go around the corner of the car by walking to the front doors. At the rear we also see LED lighting consisting of stripes.
Interior Genesis X Convertible
The interior of the Genesis X Convertible is relatively simple in design. The dashboard consists of a curved section that faces the driver and consists almost entirely of displays. The inside of the electric convertible is finished with wool, among other things.
Genesis does not share technical specifications and the brand also leaves open whether there will ever be a production version of the X Convertible.
