An A4 printer in your bag!
About a year ago we tested the Fichero Mini Pocket Printer, but this new A4 version is perfect for those who want more than just stickers or small notes. Whether you are on the road for work, attending a lecture, or have insufficient space at home for a large printer, the Fichero A4 Pocket Printer offers a solution. And all without cartridges, because just like the mini version, this printer uses heat to make black and white prints.
A big advantage is the versatility. You can take the printer with you everywhere, it’s that small. You can also choose whether you want to use the printer with paper rolls (useful for longer prints) or loose A4 sheets for standard documents. This makes it ideal if you want to quickly print a contract at an important meeting or need to return a package at home. And of course it is also useful if your daughter wants a coloring page that she can color herself. The paper rolls and loose sheets can always be found in Action’s (online) range.
Bluetooth and wireless printing
The printer is easy to operate via the accompanying Luck Jingle app, available for iPhone and iPad. You can quickly connect via Bluetooth and get started right away. It’s just a matter of selecting a document or choosing an image, and the printer does the rest. Your print will be ready within a few seconds, without having to worry about paper being stuck, ink running out or the printer simply being lost. By the way, Action’s A4 Pocket Printer also works on the Mac. You do need a driver here, but after that it works just like any other printer.
As with the mini version, printing is also simple and surprisingly fast. We used it to print a number of important documents and, because we were already busy, a few coloring pages for the kids. Within a minute they rolled out, ready to be colored. The quality is excellent, thanks to the resolution of 300 dpi. Don’t expect miracles, but text is always perfectly readable.
Compact and always saved
One of the biggest advantages of the Fichero A4 Pocket Printer is its size. You can easily take it with you in your bag, ideal if you travel a lot and always want access to a printer. It works for 1.5 hours on a full battery and then it takes 3 to 4 hours to fully charge again. That doesn’t make it the fastest when it comes to charging, but for most daily tasks the battery life is more than sufficient.
The only thing you have to take into account is that the printer only prints in black and white. This means that it is less suitable for printing photos, but it is perfect for documents, coloring pages and labels. Pro tip if you still want to print a photo: create a black and white PDF from the Share button in photos via the ‘Print’ menu. To do this, tap on the preview a little longer and you will get a PDF that you save in Files.
Conclusion: perfect for the mobile professional
For €69.95, the Fichero A4 Pocket Printer is an ideal solution for anyone who wants to quickly print black-and-white documents on the road or at home without the hassle of ink. Whether you want to print important documents or create coloring pages for your children, this printer offers everything you need in a compact and portable format.
Thanks to the wireless connection via Bluetooth and the option to use both loose sheets and paper rolls, this printer is a real all-rounder. We recommend it for the mobile professional or the creative parent!
On iPhoned we test the latest iPhones and other Apple products. The editorial team (just like all other content on the website) compiles the reviews with a lot of time, care and attention.
This way you as a reader know exactly what to expect from the tested smartphone (and other products). In the reviews we go into depth, but in an understandable way. After all, we want everyone to understand the story and ultimately know how good (or bad) the tested device is.
