Apple lowers all iPhone prices (and the difference is remarkable)

Last year, Apple made the iPhone more expensive than ever. The iPhone 14 series became about 200 (!) Euros more expensive than the previous generation iPhones. Fortunately, Apple has decided to start the year with a price reduction… of 3 euros!

Price reduction for all iPhones

In the Apple Stores, all iPhone prices have been adjusted since the turn of the year. The latest iPhone 14 Pro now costs not 1329 euros, but 1326 euros. The iPhone 14 (Plus), iPhone 13, iPhone 12 and iPhone SE are also three whole euros cheaper.

Apple doesn’t give the discount out of charity, or to boost our purchasing power. Subtle price changes are more common in a new calendar year. They mainly have to deal with new rates for private copying levies. This is compensation for artists and authors who miss out on income because their work is copied.

The levy for telephones will be reduced in 2023: from 1 January 2023, € 5.30 will have to be paid on top of each smartphone instead of € 7.30. Apple directly implements these kinds of differences in the prices. In recent years, the iPhones have become slightly more expensive, but now we charge three euros less.

iPhone 15 (Plus) will be cheaper

With the iPhone 14, that price starts from 1016 euros, but the iPhone 15 (Plus) is rumored to be cheaper. Partly due to the poorer sales figures of the iPhone 14 Plus, Apple would consider lowering the price by $ 100.

So if you’re not in a hurry to buy a new iPhone, it might be smart to wait for the iPhone 15 series. It is expected in September. New with the iPhone 15 (Plus) is that it may get a 48-megapixel camera, among other things. Lighting is also making way for the universal USB-C.

At some online stores, the iPhone is offered cheaper than at Apple. You will find the best deals in our iPhone price comparison.
