Apple has released an update for the Shazam music recognition app – this is what you can expect from the latest version.
Apple releases update for Shazam
Apple has released a new update for Shazam. That is the service for music recognition that the company bought in 2018. It concerns version 18.9. If you currently have version 18.8 on your iPhone, you can immediately update the app in the App Store. The update improves the synchronization of songs identified via Shazam, with Apple Music or Spotify.
According to the Release Notes for the new 18.9 update, Shazam adds after the update numbers that have been recognized to the special playlist ‘My Shazam numbers’. That playlist is available for Spotify and Apple Music.

Until now, songs that were manually recognized with the Shazam app have already been added to this playlist. Numbers that were recognized with the built -in option in the control panel did not. But that now changes after the 18.9 update.
This is what Apple says about Shazam’s new update:
“We’ve made syncing songs to Apple music and spotify better than ever! Shazam Will Now Include Songs Found via Music Recognition in Control Center, Siri, and Shortcuts to Your “My Shazam Tracks” Playlist in Apple Music or Spotify.
Don’t forget to keep Your Shazam History Safe and in Sync Between Your Devices. To do this, turn on icloud sync in Shazam settings. “

Again synchronize
You will probably have to synchronize all your previously recognized numbers once again. You can do this in the Settings of Shazam the option ‘Synchronizing your songs to Spotify’ once and then switching on again. You may also have to close Spotify once and open it again to see the renewed playlist.
