About a year ago, Apple released a new model of the Apple TV, which included a completely redesigned Siri Remote. This Nomad case equips the remote control with an AirTag.
AirTag in the Apple TV Siri Remote
A common criticism of the Apple TV’s new Siri Remote that Apple launched last year was the lack of a built-in AirTag. Despite the slightly larger size, it still happens very quickly that you lose the Siri Remote in your living room – for example, between the cushions of your sofa.
With a built-in AirTag, you could just let the Remote play a sound, or even accurately locate it with the iPhone’s U1 chip. But Apple has not thought of this.
A new accessory from nomad however, makes it possible to retrofit the Siri Remote with an AirTag. And that’s how it works.
Leather Case for Siri Remote
In fact, Nomad’s ‘Leather Cover’ for the Siri Remote is just a case for the remote. It looks chic, with premium leather protecting the back of the Siri Remote from scratches. But the most ingenious feature is a hidden storage compartment for an AirTag from Apple. That way you give the Siri Remote an AirTag afterwards, with all the associated benefits.
In the Find My app from Apple you can then indicate that the AirTag is your Apple TV remote and you will never lose it again.
