When Fez came out on gaming consoles in 2012, prizes rained down for this clever puzzle game. The colorful and simple appearance hides one of the most complex and profound puzzle games of recent years.
Everything revolves (literally) in Fez around one principle: the 2D world in which you walk and jump can be rotated at the touch of a button. Each screen has four sides, where secrets and solutions to puzzles are hidden time and time again.
By playing with the perspective of the game world, you can, for example, connect paths to each other, so that unreachable platforms are suddenly within reach. This starts out simple, but ends up being quite challenging.

Now that Fez can also be played on iPhone and iPad, you can easily turn the world around thanks to the touchscreen. You control protagonist Gomez with digital buttons on the screen, but rotate the game world by swiping from left to right across the screen. Since the game does not require complex platforming skills from you, these controls are rarely in the way.
