A new five-part dinosaur documentary series, Prehistoric Planet, is out today on Apple TV+. Read in this article how to watch the first episode of this new dino series from David Attenborough for free.
Prehistoric Planet: nature series with animations
Since the announcement of Prehistoric Planet, a five-part documentary series about the previous inhabitants of this globe, we have been waiting for the first episode for a while. This one is here now! The wildlife series mixes real wildlife images with computer animations to depict the dinosaurs as realistically as possible. It is now available to watch on Apple TV+.
Even without a subscription you can watch the first episode ‘Kusten’ for free. You don’t even need to sign up for a trial subscription to Apple’s streaming service. It is enough if you add your payment information to your Apple ID.
Go back in time 66 million years with this dino series
In this nature documentary you can see how the dinosaurs roamed the earth 66 million years ago. It’s not about sensation, it’s about realism. The images are based on the most recent scientific findings and try to paint a reliable picture of these ancient animals. Of course it remains guesswork. With the very expensive computer techniques behind Prehistoric Planet, we do get an insight.
Prehistoric Planet is Walking With Dinosaurs mixed with Planet Earth. Jon Favreau (The Lion King) co-directed the series with paleontologists. In addition, the music comes from the famous Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Lion King & Pirates Of The Caribbean). Last but not least: the iconic voice of Sir David Attenborough accompanies the whole story. What a great line-up!
You can even use the first episode from Prehistoric Planet for free. Every (working) day this week a new episode will be released. Every day we see a different climate zone and therefore also different types of dinosaurs.
Watch this series for free on Apple TV+
After a relatively difficult start, Apple TV+ is now picking up steam. Ted Lasso was the first big hit for the service. Apple TV+ also won an Oscar earlier this year for the movie CODA. This was the first film from a streaming service to win this prestigious award.
Prehistoric Planet is hopefully the next hit from Apple’s streaming service. Will you watch a T-Rex raise its children? You can do this for free by taking out a seven-day trial subscription. Have you just bought a new Apple device? Then you get three months of free Apple TV+.
