The new generation of the iPad Pro has been announced! Apple has given the iPad Pro 2025 a number of important improvements, especially under the hood. With the iPad Pro we already saw a completely new design in 2024, which has taken over the new version of the iPad Pro. This means that the iPad Pro is again extremely thin and comes with an 11- or 13-inch OLED display. You can choose from the colors space black and silver for the tablet.
While the design has remained unchanged, this does not apply to the inside of the housing. The iPad Pro 2025 runs on the completely new M5 chip. M5 chip and more RAM
According to Apple, the new M5 chip is much faster than the M4 chip, especially when the iPad performs multiple tasks at the same time. Running some tasks is also a lot faster with the powerful M5 chip. This is also due to the working memory, because the iPad Pro will have at least 12 GB of RAM as standard in 2025. All models come standard with at least 12 GB of RAM, instead of the 8 GB that we saw in previous versions of the iPad Pro. For the versions with more storage space, you even get 16 GB of RAM, a huge difference with the iPad Pro 2024.
The new generation of the iPad Pro has an M5 chip and more RAM, but that is not the only adjustment. The tablet charges much faster, because Apple has improved fast charging support. Other improvements to the iPad include the C1X and N1 chips, which support WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. For the iPad Pro with M5 chip, you can choose 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB of storage space. All versions come standard with at least 12 GB of RAM.
