iPadOS 17 support: these iPads will no longer receive an update

In addition to iOS 17, Apple is also launching iPadOS 17 this year. Unfortunately, not all iPads will receive the latest update anymore. Which iPads will get iPadOS 17 and which will not?

Apple gives almost all devices a software update. iPadOS 17 will be released for the iPad this year. The first beta version of iPadOS 17 will probably appear again in June, with the final release in September. With the iPadOS update, a completely new app will probably come to your iPad and alternative App Stores will finally be allowed.

More software updates at WWDC 2023

In addition to iPadOS 17 for your iPad, WWDC 2023 will probably also release updates for your iPhone, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch. Apple will then launch tvOS 17, watchOS 10 and macOS 14. It remains to be seen whether these will be major updates, because the attention of Apple’s developers has mainly gone to Apple Reality in recent months.
