More sold than ever
Lamborghini can look back on record sales for the umpteenth year in a row. Not only that, it has crossed an important boundary for the first time.
Lamborghini has been setting sales records for years and 2023 was again good for an unprecedented number of ‘Lambos’ delivered. Last year, no fewer than 10 percent more cars were sold than in the previous record year, 2022. Not only that: for the first time in history, Lamborghini sold more than 10,000 cars. 10,112, to be precise. So it doesn’t make much difference, but you can bet that this will be celebrated in Sant’Agate Bolognese.
It comes as no surprise that so many cars are worn out. Halfway through the year it became clear that Lamborghini was once again on record. Lamborghini noticed the greatest sales growth in its largest market: the combination of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Sales there increased by 14 percent. Germany was Lamborghini’s largest market and even the second largest market worldwide (961 cars sold). The United States again finished at the top of the country list, with exactly 3,000 cars.
The fact that Lamborghini is more successful than ever before was again largely made possible last year by the Urus. The SUV still appears to be a golden opportunity for the brand, no matter how controversial its arrival was. The Italians sold no less than 6,087 units of the Urus in 2023. the Huracán is still doing great towards the end: 3,962 of them were worn. Furthermore, 51 so-called ‘few-offs’ with a V12 were sold (think of cars like the Authentica and Invencible) and 12 more Aventadors. Lamborghini did not achieve a sales record in the Netherlands. Here it remained at 39 pieces, which maintains the record from 2019 (49 pieces).
