Netflix more expensive: this is going to change
Only new subscribers will pay the price increase immediately. For existing users, Netflix wants to the new prices enter at a later time. When exactly that will happen is not yet known. The streaming service does indicate that they will first inform customers by email.
New prices from Netflix
Four years ago, Netflix increased prices for subscribers with a Standard or Premium account. Also this time the price increase is included with these two subscriptions. For example, the price of a Standard subscription goes from 10.99 euros to 13.99 euros. Premium subscribers pay 15.99 euros (that was 13.99 euros). It is striking that users with a Basic subscription do not receive an increase. That will continue to cost 7.99 euros per month.
Netflix price increase: more expensive in Belgium too
Belgian viewers will also have to deal with this increase. There, the price of the Basic subscription will be increased to 9 euros per month. Belgian film fans will pay 13.49 euros for the Standard account. A Premium subscription will cost 17.99 euros in Belgium.
Netflix subscription: Basic, Standard and Premium
Netflix has three different types of subscriptions. With a Basic subscription you can watch on one screen at a time and you can’t stream in HD or UHD (4K). With a Standard subscription you can stream on two devices at the same time and you can watch movies in HD. With the most expensive subscription (Premium), you can watch on four devices at the same time and you get access to both HD and UHD content.

Soon another big name will be added. HBO Max has on Twitter announced that they will also open the doors to their streaming service in the Netherlands in 2022.
