Materials researchers have developed a new, sustainable material from fungus and plant remains. It can replace many conventional materials.

It's a process engineer's dream: you put a bowl in a dark room in warm summer temperatures and five to six days later it's full to the brim. The natural material inside has grown into the given shape by itself. It's a mushroom - it reaches every corner, nestles close to the edge of the bowl.
