Restore settings in case of problems with iPhone or iPad

It can happen that your iPhone or iPad gives problems. One of the most common problems are applications that no longer start. It is also possible that settings can no longer be activated, the network no longer works properly or the device crashes regularly. The first thing you should do is force restart your iPad or iPhone.

If that doesn’t help, you can always delete the app in question if possible and reinstall it. However, the cause may lie elsewhere and you will need to restore the settings of your iPhone or iPad. You have several options and in most cases they are very effective and actually solve the problem.

If you have problems with the keyboard dictionary, such as incorrect autocorrect, you can also fix it by resetting the keyboard dictionary. The home screen layout, location, and privacy can also be reset using these options. Clearing these settings will also delete some things from your iPhone. For example, network settings will clear all passwords for Wi-Fi networks and wireless connections.

Do you want a full recovery, inclusive deleting apps, photos and data, you should choose ‘Erase all content and settings’.
