6 times the best discount app

The Dutch remain Dutch and are fond of saving. In this article we list some great apps with which you can save on days out, luxury products, auctions or ‘just’ on daily shopping.

1. Scoupy

Scoupy is probably the most popular discount app and has been around for many years. It works very simply. Scoupy ensures that you get money back after purchase through cashback promotions. For example, do you buy two burgers at your favorite fast food joint? There is a good chance that Scoupy has a voucher for it.

After you have purchased the promotional product, it is the intention that you keep the receipt. You then upload this to Scoupy by taking a photo. Fill in your personal details and you will receive the promised amount back within 48 hours. Scoupy is therefore a very simple way to save.

2. Pepper.com

Another veteran discount app is Pepper.com. This app works largely the same as Scoupy, but is somewhat broader in scope. In addition to offering vouchers, Pepper.com also collects attractive deals. From a discount on game computers, day trips at a reduced rate to cashback with food delivery: the offer is diverse.

A useful feature of Pepper.com are the DealAlerts. This will automatically notify you when a product you selected is on sale. Pepper.com scans dozens of sites every day for the best deals and lets you know as soon as you can pick up something cheap. Finally, you can also get codes via the discount app to buy cheap clothes online, for example.

3. Hotel Tonight

Are you done with sitting at home a lot? Then Hotel Tonight might be a nice app for you. With this application you get a discount on hotel stays. The app scans daily for places that still have a room left overnight and offer it at a heavily discounted rate. Hotelier happy, and so are you.

The great thing about Hotel Tonight is that the discount app has worldwide coverage. So it does not matter in which country (or even continent) you are looking for an overnight stay: there is a good chance that you will find one with the iPhone app. Furthermore, Hotel Tonight has been structured in a clear manner so that you can filter sleeping places by price range, type of breakfast and amenities.

4. Groupon

With Groupon -a contraction between group and coupon- you can order cheap day trips, activities and products. Sellers register with the app, after which you can, for example, go to the sauna at high discounts, spend a day at the circuit or get a nice duvet cover at home.

Extra handy is that you can filter based on location. That way you can see at a glance what there is to do in the area. Most Groupon deals offer discounts of about 50 to 70 percent. You don’t even have to print the deals, because with the digital voucher on your iPhone you can enter everywhere.

5. Advertising brochure

Are you not necessarily looking for cheap days out, but do you want to save on daily shopping? Then you have to be at Reclamefolder. This app does what you might expect from the name: collecting advertising brochures. You simply read the newspapers via the screen of your iPhone. That way you don’t have to deal with all that residual waste.

It is extra handy that you can indicate your favorite stores. This way you only receive offers from places where you actually buy regularly. In the app of Reclamefolder you can also create shopping lists for while shopping. Finally, you can also specify favorite products, so that Reclamefolder scans all discount brochures for this and only gets the best offers for you.

6. BVA Auctions

A less obvious discount app is that of BVA. With this app you can bid on current lots from your iPhone. BVA auctions almost everything, from kitchen tools and furniture to boats. But this app is also worth a look if you want to buy garden lamps, computers or laminate.

BVA therefore auctions lots. Companies that cease their activities (or have gone bankrupt) hereby sell their remaining stock. By bidding smartly you can arrange significant discounts. Keep in mind the additional administration costs. Parties such as BVA charge a price for their services.
