Augmented Reality
The app uses augmented reality. First, your connection is checked step by step. Then you walk from your modem with the camera of your iPhone to different places in your house to take a measurement. You give the places a name, such as ‘living room’ or ‘bedroom’. You will then see the WiFi signal on your phone literally in your living room.
3D map
The app itself forms a 3D map of the space. If you have been to all the places, you can then see an overview of the various measuring points on this map. You can tap on the different locations to see how high, for example, your download speed is.
The locations are marked green or red. The greener the location, the better the WiFi speed. This way you can see at a glance where your WiFi signal is strongest in your home.
Tips to improve your Wi-Fi
The app assesses your Wi-Fi situation and gives you tips on how to improve your signal. These tips are based on your measurement. Here you will receive an explanation of what could cause a problem, why that is and how you can solve it. For example, you get the tip to see if you have sources of interference in your house. The app explains what sources of interference are and guides you step by step in determining whether you actually have them in your home, and what you can do about it.
Have you tried all the tips, but the wifi is still not working? Then you can contact Ziggo via the app. You indicate the problem and fill in your personal details. You can then choose a time when Ziggo will call you to help you by telephone.
