These are the best (standard) watch faces for your Apple Watch
When the Apple Watch was first released, the number of watch faces you could set was quite limited. You now have quite a number of watch faces to choose from. Not every watch face is available on every Apple Watch, but there is now something for everyone.
You can use an app like Facer to get even more watch faces on your Apple Watch, but then you have to install another app and those watch faces often have fewer functions. No, I prefer Apple’s standard dials. But what are actually the best watch faces that you can set as default on the Apple Watch? We give you our top 4!
Oh yeah! It is best to set the watch faces via the Watch app on your iPhone. That’s easier than adjusting them on your Apple Watch. Moreover, you will immediately see what other options are available.
1. Infograph
The Infograaf may perhaps be called one of the ‘classics’. This watch face looks clear and also has four complications that you can set around the watch face.
But that’s not all, as you can add another four complications in the watch face itself. You can also give the dial your own color, but we have to admit: the white or black dial is the most beautiful.
2. Chronograph Pro
The Chronograph Pro most resembles a classic stopwatch. When you tap the busy part of the watch face, it will be converted into a chronograph. You can set the time in 60, 30, 6 or 3 seconds.
There is also a tachymeter, with which you measure the speed based on the time traveled over a fixed distance. The watch face also gives you four complications (each in the corner of the screen), so there are more than enough options available.
3. California
For a classic dial, California is a good choice. You can choose from a rectangular or round dial. The rectangular plate has two complications. The round dial offers space for five complications.
You can also choose from different types of numbers in the clock. These include Pills (dashes), Roman, Chinese and Arabic. More than enough options to make it onto the list of the best watch faces for the Apple Watch.
4. Modular Duo / Modular Ultra
Some of the best watch faces on the Apple Watch are the Modular Duo and Modular Ultra. It is a shame that Modular Ultra is only available for the Apple Watch Ultra 1 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Yet both watch faces are similar in design, because with this watch face you get a lot of information by just looking at your watch face once.
The Duo has a maximum of three complications. Two of them are displayed large so that you always see more information on the screen of your Apple Watch. The Ultra version has room for up to seven complications.
Bonus Dial: Snoopy
Finally, we can also recommend the Snoopy watch face. This watch face of the famous dog was added in watchOS 10. Snoopy performs the funniest tricks on your Apple Watch together with Woodstock on your watch face in more than 140 different animations. It is a shame that you have few options to customize the watch face. There is nothing more than just the color and style of the numbers.
