It’s Friday again! And there are four fun apps waiting for you! This week we have a special treat for Kaiju fans and TikTok lovers. But be sure to check out the other apps in this list as well. There’s something for everyone, so take a quick look at the best iPhone apps from week 40. Have a nice weekend!
1. CapCut
The CapCut app has been around for a year, but experienced a major revival on Twitter last week. The app contains a whole bunch of fun effects for your videos and photos. Now you may think that there is undoubtedly a subscription attached to it, but nothing could be further from the truth. CapCut is completely free to use.

Interesting to know: ByteDance (from TikTok) also owns the CapCut app. That’s probably why the ‘Share on TikTok’ button is so prominent. Nevertheless, it’s a fun app for boosting your own photos and videos!
2. Go BIG! feat. Godzilla vs. Kong
Are you totally into Kaiju? You know, the huge monsters like Godzilla or the monsters from the movie Pacific Rim? Then you should definitely Go BIG! feat. Godzilla vs. Kong give it a try. It contains both Godzilla and Kong that you may know from the famous cinema film.

You start the game by choosing one of the two giants. Then you can go all out in the city. You start out as a mini Kaiju and by destroying everything you get bigger and bigger and you can attack bigger buildings. Think a bit of the game Katamari Damacy, in which you have to roll everything up to get bigger. But it’s not just about getting bigger, because in Go BIG! There are also big bosses that you have to compete against.
3. Bleak Sword
The game Bleak Sword has recently received a major expansion with new cards and new enemies. It’s a dark action game where you have to make your way through some sort of dioramas. The game has an old-fashioned pixel style, with a sauce of modern 3D looks.

The controls are simple, but require some practice. Just attacking enemies won’t get you very far. Good timing is important in this game. Please note that this game requires an Apple Arcade subscription. Do you have that? Then Bleak Sword is free to download.
4. Nautical Crawl
You can compare the game Nauticrawl with a kind of escape room. You are on the run and to escape you have to figure out how the vehicle (the Nauticrawl) works in which you are hiding. The first few times you are bound to go wrong, but you learn more and more about the dozens of buttons, levers and switches.

The game has some ‘Roguelite’ features. You will learn more and more about the functions of the Nauticrawl and you will progress further in the game. Nice for go-getters!
