The absolute top versions of the extensive Porsche 718 range are now also available with an automatic transmission. Porsche Netherlands immediately reports the prices of the Porsche 718 Boxter GT4, 718 Boxster Spyder and GTS 4.0 flavors with PDK automatic transmission.
If you are in the market for a Porsche 718 Cayman or Boxster, it is better to sit down for it. The configurator of the two models contains numerous versions. At the top of the 718’s food chain, the 420 horsepower Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder reign supreme, versions recently joined by 400 horsepower GTS 4.0 versions of the pair. In all these most muscular flavors of the 718s lies a 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, a machine that until now always sends its powers to the rear wheels via a manual six-speed gearbox. In the United States, the GTS 4.0s, GT4 and Spyder are just as optional with a PDK automatic transmission. From now on they are also available with that transmission in the Netherlands.
The PDK transmission is a dual-clutch automatic transmission that accelerates the 420 hp 718 Spyder and 718 Cayman GT4 to a speed of 100 km / h in just 3.9 seconds. With that, the pair complete that sprint half a second faster than the already known version with a manual gearbox. Not only do they shoot faster to 100 km / h, but also thunder to 200 km / h is a lot faster. The counter reaches 200 km / h in 13.4 seconds, a time gain of 0.4 seconds. The 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 are also about half a second faster with PDK than the versions with manual transmission. The 100 km / h was reached in 4 seconds. The 200 km / h is tapped after 13.7 seconds.
The driving modes of the 718s have been adapted to the PDK automatic transmission and include the modes Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual. The Launch Control function is also housed in Sport Plus. The rear differential lock, available on the 718 Spyder and 718 Cayman GT4, has also been modified. It now has lock values ​​of 30 and 37 percent respectively. The manual versions come to 30 and 37 percent.

Porsche Netherlands is asking € 121,700 for the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0. For the open 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, Porsche charges a starting price of € 123,700. The 718 Spyder has to fetch € 138,100 while the price of the 718 Cayman GT4 is € 141,000.
Model year update
Porsche is also immediately implementing a model year update on the entire 718 family. This mainly concerns the equipment of the 718s. Alcantara upholstery is replaced by Race Rex fabrics, a material based on the upholstery of racing seats. In addition, the 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder front language are available in the color Python green. The 718 Spyder is now available with a new 20-inch alloy with the same Aurum dipped paint finish as the GT4 models.
