Moderation is an accessible app to eat healthier

Every year, healthier food is at the top of many people’s list of good intentions. Moderation is an easy way to achieve this goal. The app does not judge you for your diet and is therefore ideal for beginners.

Moderation

The statement “Abs are made in the kitchen” does not come out of the blue: good food is necessary for a healthy lifestyle. The problem, however, is that most of the apps for this are anything but accessible. Extensive databases with millions of products, finding out how many grams your portion weighs or scanning barcodes: not really attractive.

Moderation is a new ‘food diary’ app that solves these problems. It’s an accessible way to keep track of what you eat and how healthy it is. Every day you fill in whether your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks were healthy or not. What exactly is healthy? You can decide that.

Where one person wants to eat less sweets, the other tries to leave a slice of bread. Moderation therefore gives you the choice of what is healthy. After you have kept track for a few weeks, you can see how the distribution is. On which days do you eat healthy, and on which days do you let go of the brakes?

Don’t count calories

The app will then send you reminders to leave your favorite food on these days. Moderation does not keep up with specific calories, fat percentages and water balance, but that is precisely the strength. The application is very accessible and therefore a nice entry-level for people who have recently started living a healthier life.

Moderation has recently been released and is therefore still under development. More features will be added soon, the developer says. The app does not display ads and does not store any personal data. You do not have to create an account to start.
