WhatsApp has introduced another new feature that makes it possible to share your screen during a video call. That is how it works.
New update for WhatsApp
Another update of WhatsApp is available for your iPhone! In the new version of WhatsApp, video calling has an added function, because you can now finally share your screen during the conversation. This was already possible with Zoom and FaceTime, but the function was still missing with WhatsApp. That will change with the new update.

WhatsApp has now released the feature for everyone, so the update is already available in the App Store. Once you’ve updated, the button to share your screen will automatically appear during a video call in WhatsApp. Do you want to use the new feature? This is how screen sharing works
To take advantage of the new feature, first make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your iPhone. That is currently version 23.16.0. Have you downloaded the new version? Then share your screen during a video call on WhatsApp as follows:
- Open WhatsApp;
- Start a video call with one of your contacts;
- Tap the symbol with the screen and the figure;
- Choose which app you want to share the screen of;
- Tap “Start Broadcast” to start sharing your screen.
Please note, because the notifications you receive are also visible if you share your screen during a video call on WhatsApp. Don’t want others to see your notifications? First put your iPhone on ‘Do not disturb’, so that your notifications remain hidden during your video call. To stop sharing your iPhone’s screen, tap Stop Broadcasting to hide your screen again.

With screen sharing, WhatsApp is becoming more and more suitable for business conversations. Earlier it became possible to create a link for a video call, which you can add to your agenda.
