Uninstall apps from the Start menu

uninstall program on PC

Quickly remove apps from Windows PC via the Start menu. Handy for those who don’t want to dive into the settings to throw away programs.

Remove the programs you are not using. These are also known as ‘apps’. This saves space on the Windows PC. The usual way is through the PC’s Settings. But it can also be done differently, namely from the Start menu.

  • In Windows 10, click the Start button. In Windows 11, click the Start button > All apps.
  • A list of apps opens in alphabetical order. Right click on the app you want to remove.
  • click on remove.
  • The Control Panel opens with the program list.
  • Right-click the program again.
  • click on remove > Yes.

The app with its data disappears from the Start menu and from the PC. This works for all programs, except for other items in the Start menu, such as websites or fixed Windows components.
