Good news: Suzuki Ignis now cheaper

Suzuki has made the Smart Hybrid powertrain a little cleaner. This will now be standard in every Ignis model. Nevertheless, the starting price is now slightly lower. How does this work?

From now on, Suzuki will supply every Ignis with the Smart Hybrid powertrain, a mild hybrid powertrain that delivers slightly more economical gas mileage. The hybrid now has a stronger battery pack, of 10Ah. The brand has also made the powertrain more efficient, which reduces CO2 emissions slightly. That is cheaper for taxes – and Suzuki calculates that in the curb price.

For example, from now on you can order the Suzuki Ignis in Comfort trim level from 16,600 euros. With the more extensive Select equipment, you will also have the Suzuki Safety System as standard. This safety system consists of, among other things, Dual Camera Brake Support (‘the few extra eyes on the road’), an emergency braking system, and Lane Departure Warning plus Vehicle Sway Warning, warning systems for when you deviate from the lane or drive in a winding way.

The Suzuki Ignis Style also remains available. Like the Select, it is also available with CVT automatic transmission and AllGrip four-wheel drive. The first Ignis models with new prices are expected in Suzuki showrooms this month.
